KMF trains after a break of several years

Specialist recruitment and securing through cooperation with Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw)

Thanks to the joint project with the educational work of the Bavarian economy (bbw), it has been possible to train cutting machine operators at KMF Kemptener Maschinenfabrik for several years.

In the model, which is unique in Bavaria, the 6 trainees change between the training workshop specially set up for this project in the Kempten training center, the vocational school and the production in the company. A multi-week introductory block conveys previously the apprentices the basic knowledge u. a. in dealing with different materials. The future cutting machine operators receive specialist support from an industrial master and trainers at the training center as well as in specialist companies.

HR manager Susanne Sommer from KMF Kemptener Maschinenfabrik GmbH is convinced that this model is also interesting for other companies that do not have the necessary equipment to adequately train their apprentices, but have an increased need for skilled workers. This model is to be used to conclude further training contracts in the coming years and to secure skilled workers in the long term.
